The overall aim of LGBT History month is to promote equality and diversity for the benefit of the public by increasing visibility, raising awareness and promoting the welfare of LGBTQ+ people.
The LGBT community is one that still faces a great deal of prejudice and discrimination in society. It is important that we all work to take a stand against LGBT+ phobia, as well as remember and celebrate the huge impact LGBT+ people have had on our society for centuries. LGBT History Month is a chance to spread a positive message of inclusion and respect.
