Field hockey All women, mostly gay We train in Lee, south east London and play in the Kent league.

What is the goal / dream for your club?

"To be promoted to the 4th division next season And to attract a few more players next season."

It is pride month so we want to know what you are most proud of about your club?

"Proud that we have been playing as a club since 1992! Proud that women can join our team and feel welcome and included. Proud that we are improving every season."

What makes a good teammate for your club?

"Flexible as you may be asked to play in different positions on the field Good at hockey but that's not a requirement... 🙂 As long as you try you will always be welcome. A good sense of humour and team spirit."

Why do you think it is important for there to be LGBTIQ+ specific sports clubs/groups?

"To create a safe space To enable people to meet other lgbiq+ people and like-minded people. To encourage women to take part in sport."

Do you have an LGBTIQ+ sporting hero?

"Kate Richardson Walsh of course."

How do you think sport can benefit the LGBTIQ+ community?

"Better mental health. Good support network. Better physical health"
